Let me just say, Annie has definitely changed my life and my relationship with food. Before working with Annie, I was struggling with learning how to fuel my body properly to allow for improvements in strength. “Before working with Annie I was struggling with restrictive eating. I had a lot of food rules and a terrible relationship with my body and with food. I can date so much of this back to childhood, so really I think I struggled my entire life. I decided to work with Annie after reading The Fuck It Diet and realizing that despite other hard work in eating disorder treatment, I still had some work to do to be the healthiest version of myself possible.
Annie was fantastic to work with, she’s personable and professional and has a lot of knowledge of nutrition and exercise science, but utilizes it in a gentle way that incorporates intuitive eating and fights against fat phobia and diet culture. I felt like my goals were always honored but also felt challenged through the whole process.
I think one big take away for me was how to work with food and not against food in my life. I feel like most of my life I had conflict with food, our relationship with strained to say the least. I never really learned how to embrace food as a part of my life and use it to benefit me and my body. I also learned how to reach true body neutrality, which is easier said than done! Finally, one significant result is that I spend a lot less time thinking about food and thinking about my body. It has really opened up a world of possibility for me, because in my very busy life, time is truly a gift. I worry less and have less anxiety because I worked through so many distorted thoughts and food rules.”

“Hi, my name is Mary Catherine and I had the privilege of working with Annie in [2018]. At the time, I was looking for a way to live that was consistent with my health and fitness goals. So that was my goal: to learn as much as I could!
Annie and I really focused on my nutrition and eating enough, which was awesome because most programs are about limiting your food. But, Annie taught me that it is all about eating enough. That made a difference in my training and in how I felt. I wasn’t exhausted all of the time like before. One of the biggest reasons I decided to work with Annie was because I started following her on Instagram and noticed that she was certified. “Hi, my name is Lisa and before deciding to join the 10-Weeks to Food Freedom with Annie, I struggled with food and my weight. In the past, I had worked with another trainer, who put me on a strict diet regiment. And, the longer I was on the diet, the more restricted it had to become in order to continue to see results. Yes, I got the results, but I feel like I didn’t really learn “how” to eat and “how” to be happy. As a result, I took one emotional problem and turned it into another. I gained every bit of my weight back plus some. I became depressed, honestly… All the hard work that I put in was gone.
I had been following Annie for quite awhile, I found inspiration in her posts about food freedom and learning how to love yourself. We chatted some, and she would always check-in on me even though I was not a client at the time, which meant the world to me. Annie put a lot of hard work into the 10 Weeks to Food Freedom course. You could see the work when you received your packet of information. She made you think and dive deeper so that you can figure out what it is that you struggle with the most, and not just put a band-aide on it. After gaining all the weight back [with my previous trainer], I cried a lot. I didn’t see myself as acceptable. But, Annie taught me how to love myself and how to work from there. I really enjoyed the group setting and getting to know all the ladies too. We were all there to encourage each and be happy for those small, yet so important milestones in our own personal growth.

“Hi, my name is Britni and before participating in the 10-Weeks to Food Freedom course I was struggling with not eating enough food, as well as occasional binges. I felt out of control, I felt like food controlled me, and I was miserable. Therefore, when Annie told me there was a spot open in her group, I jumped at the opportunity because I’ve worked with her before. She’s such an uplifting coach and empowers you to do your best. I needed help with food freedom so I took the opportunity to work with her and I’m glad I did.
Annie is very informative and gets you to think on a deeper level than you would do on your own. In addition, I read a book that went along with what Annie was teaching us on a weekly basis. I feel like I got more out if it by doing both the book and her course. The book is not a must but she does recommend it.
I learned to take time to enjoy food and to become more aware of what my body is needing. It takes practice, but it feels good when you eat the foods that your body craves. Currently, I’m still working on intuitive eating, but I don’t feel guilty eating sweets anymore. I enjoy them when I want to, but I stop when satisfied because I don’t feel a need to binge on sweets anymore.
I totally recommend working with Annie. She’s a great person. She’s honest and she’s worth the money that you pay. Just make sure you do your part or else it’s not going to get you anywhere. I did my part and I feel like I got a lot from the program. If you struggle with binging or restricting or just need food freedom in general this course is just what you need. It did wonders for me.
